Chateau le Puy Emilien 2000

| /

The fruit of a plot of vines planted with 85% Merlot, 7% cabernet franc, 6% cabernet sauvignon, 1% malbec and 1% carménère. Emilien is matured in oak barrels and casks for 24 months.

A very attractive dark ruby colour. Dominant animal and ripe red berry aromas, with leather, musk, blackcurrant and blueberry. In the mouth it is very round and concentrated with flavours of burnt almonds and deep tannins. Long, very clearly pronounced final notes. A fine, elegant wine.  Absolutely superb.
